Throughout his third season in the NFL, former Missouri receiver Jeremy Maclin wrote weekly blog posts for GQ. His posts were reflective and thoughtful, including his final one, in which he writes about his offseason plans:
During that time, I’ll go down to Mizzou and work out with the team there. That’s a nice way to transition, because of the nostalgia factor and also because I’ll be working out with guys who want nothing more than to be in the NFL, where I am blessed to be. It keeps me hungry, keeps in the forefront of my mind all the reasons I have for wanting to be a professional football player, all the work I did to get here, and all the work I have ahead to stay here. It’s important never to lose sight of those things.
