Senior defensive back Munir Prince took a hard hit during a kickoff drills at the end of Thursday’s scrimmage. According to an e-mail from team spokesman Chad Moller, Prince was taken in an ambulance to the University Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.
Prince was diagnosed with transient quadriplegia by team phyisicain Pat Smith. Transient quadriplegia is a temporary loss of sensation and movement in upper and lower extremities. Smith’s prognosis is favorable and he is expected to regain full motor function, according to doctors.
